New appreciation of rap music. January 30, 2008

I am not, nor have I ever been a fan of rap. I saw it as literally talking really fast about women, money, and the “gangsta life.” Well, last night after watching the Wedding singer for the hundreth time, my Sara and I decided to do the karaoke in the special feature section on the DVD. For some reason we decided to tackle “Rapper’s Delight.”  After about twenty seconds of rapping we were out of breath and stumbling on all the words.  We looked and sounded like idiots.  We eventually gave up and tried our luck on “White Wedding” instead.   So even though I’m still not a fan of rap music, I can admit that it does involve some skill.  But the lyrics are a whole other story….
